    Pizza: John's Pizzeria

This place is awesome. Simply the best tasting pizza I've ever had - next to some place I went to in Italy. There is perhaps better pizza in NYC, but this place is worth trying. It's right near Times Square, and has a pretty nice atmosphere. Prices are great too. I think a basic pizza starts at $12 (feeds a hungry adult) and then you add whatever toppings you want for additional $. Sample size was 3 visits. It's a nice 'sit in' pizza restaurant, not like domino's or w/e.

Sophisticated: Welcome | The View Restaurant at the New York Marriott Marquis

The View Restaurant, which is NYC's only revolving restaurant, gives you a 48th floor rotating view of midtown Manhattan. The atmosphere is pretty chill, service was excellent (sample size of 2 visits) and views were great. There is something about eating in the sky that makes a dining experience very relaxing and enjoyable. Be prepared to bring some $ though. The buffet in the lounge is $35, glass of wine $15-$25, premium liquor $16+ an ounce, and the (3 course?) dinner is $79+ (depending on what you order, probably will run $100+ a person and that's not inc. drinks.) I didn't eat in the restaurant section but opted for the buffet (which is a floor higher!). If you just want dessert in the lounge I think it was $20 (there is a cover charge though for the lounge if you go after 8:00pm).

hopefully that was of some use. I ate street food or Chipolte mostly for lunch when I was out during the day so didn't get a chance to try a ton of restaurants. I think for my next trip to NYC I'm going to stay around Hell's Kitchen and just spend the entire time restaurant hopping. Maybe boog can fill us in on some gems around manhattan?
