Hand 2, just fold that UTG...even at 6-max that is a fold just about always. But as played, yeah, you have to be that turn as a lot of the time it's a FD or even a worse ace. Then you can check the river and see it for free or cheap (although here that river sucks, oh well ).

Thanks for the comments. I have begun playing a bit tighter and fold A8 UTG now. After being on a 2300 hand break even stretch I have been on a bit of a heater. Good play mixed with some reads and nice cards have helped. I'm up more than $47 in the past 2 days over 1200 hands of 5nl. I might post interesting hands tomorrow, but right now I'm gonna go to sleep. Hopefully I'll be playing 10nl by mid June.
