Man I make little sense.
6max hold'em is all about exploitation. Why? Because you have a smaller field of opponents and therefore are forced into situations with them more often than you would be at full ring. On top of this one does not need nut/near nut hands to win pots. I would first start 2tabling 6max to get a feel for the speed of the game. You could run nitty like 15/10 and be EXTREMELY profitable at $10NL up to $50NL.
Full ring $10NL is a rockfest as documented by many players on this site in the past. 6max also helps to improve one's postflop game because he/she is invariably in more pots than full ring. Take a shot at 6max, you'll clear you bonus at a 150% faster rate as well as gain more experience through more hands.
