After Thursday I needed to play 95 of these before the end of the month. Just got back today from a snowboard trip which was really fun. Had only gone once about 10 yrs ago and I wasn't sure how well I'd do but we booked lessons which really helped. I won't be able to play today so I'm going to call it quits. If it were really important I could probably get to 400 but this operation was mostly to see how easy it was to get in volume and how soft they were.

I did eat better and it was nice being able to take about an hour off to get everything prepared. The problem was that the time I would get in the most volume was between 11am-5pm. I was hoping that I could have time to do stuff like play some golf during the day and put in volume at night but they just didn't start fast enough. Even during peak hours the max tables I ever got to was 7, which to be fair is just about my limit.

You can definitely make good money in these; some of the better regs I saw had ROI's around 60% thru 3k+ samples. I'll probably keep playing these on the side, but I think MTT's are much more fun. You do have reads in rush poker, but HUD stats can only go so far. I ended up getting about 1k hands on some players without having a clue about their postflop games. I only felt confident about preflop decisions; postflop was a big guessing game that got really annoying.

It was also tough to grind these because there is literally never a time where you don't have to make a decision. It's nice being able to have some dead periods where you can relax a little.

Summary: 305 played, 44.5% ROI, $22/hr, +$1628
