Another 500 hands and up $60.
Huge pot
Flopped set OOP on blank board against tight raiser. Donk flop, checkraise turn, push river, kthx gg. Won 240BB pot.
Good call:
Raised ep limper with AA, board JdTdTc, he c/c'd flop and check/pushed brick turn for 70BB. First I thought "insta-fold he has a Ten" but I took some time to think about it. He could do it with quite wide range (semibluffs, lower PP's looking for fold equity, weirdly played QQ/KK, even AJ). If he had Ten, he would probably minraised turn like other donkey. If he was any good, he'd protect his Ten, because of flushdraw, gutshot to AK and possible raise from AA/KK or frisky AK. I called, his 88 was no good.
Sometimes gotta defend good hands in big pots.
Misplayed hands:
AQ TPTK:
Checking flop multiway after hitting A with AQ with flushdraw. Blank turn, I pot it 1 caller, flush on river, I bet half pot, he raises, I muck. I should've bet flop and make odds-busting bet on turn, he'd pay the same amount but probably folded on turn.
JJ overpair:
I open checked low 223 board after raising JJ from BB. With aggro players, who would bet in that spot lots their whiffs and mid PP's but fold when I lead - it'd have more sense. It's bad play, when total passives are in hand. Passives try to hit their hand and then grill me when they outflop/suckout. Easy flop bet.
Turn blank, I lead for pot, 1 caller. River another brick, check/check MHIG. I should have taken him to valuetown on river and make at least half-pot VB.
Monster:
I open with QQ UTG, 1 early call behind. I flop top set on drawing board. c-bet/call. I fill up on turn, bet 60% of the pot - call. Flush and straight came on river, I push (potsized bet) but villain folds.
Leaks to fix:
- Don't miss good hefty VB on river against weak player with possible weak hand.
- Don't check good vulnerable hands on flop to loose, unaggressive players.
