AA lost to 89 when maniac fish flopped 99X and then I lost set vs set.
I seem to get totally destroyed by maniac fish. I see them bet huge with poor hands on multiple streets but when I play I run into 2 pair+.

Then I get into my poor play mode where I call reraises too much and convince myself that their range is behind mine. Its so weird to see my graph and then look at those sessions where i start to drop off. They are almost identical. Hit new high, cooler, play bad, fix problem, slowly crawl out of ditch, repeat....

On another note, I have played some hands with what I would call a good 10nl reg. He is by far the best reg I've seen and he wont be there for long. For whatever reason, he is going after me and thinks I totally suck. Almost every time i raise pre and he was left to act, even if I was in EP, he would 3bet me. He has a 5% 3bet over about 500 hands and most of them are vs me....he really never picked on others like this....it was weird....
In one of the final hands, I raised AA in EP and he reraised. I decided to call and keep him in the hand. The flop came Q high and he vbet and I reraised. He folded and asked if I had QQ which tells me he had a decent hand if he was asking at all.
His stats are solid, about 12/11. He has never flat called until the button and never in the SB. He is truly good, and I have no need to play pots with him but it is very interesting to see him come after me....I must have done a few bonehead plays and he thinks I suck worse than the others...
I know what you mean about 10NL. I'm in my 3rd month now and still looking to profit. I had AA last month and I had a guy (solid player, I thought) call my 4x 3bet w/Q6o. He hit 2-pair on the flop and got it all-in. I hit runner-runner for a better 2-pair, but shit, why did he call the 3bet and almost stack me?

Regarding the better player, you could try a 4-bet bluff (I 4bet slightly more than 2x the 3bet size) to get him off your ass. He may have stats that you fold 100% to 3bets. Otherwise, just tighten up your OOP raising range or get another table.
