cool, sorry about the sympathy comment then. It just felt that way with the hands posted unconverted and with no reads or analysis. But then i remember that i read through my entire op history yesterday and most of the hands i posted were coolers or beats, and it was cathartic to post them - i wasn't searching for sympathy either. Understood!
A comment though. Given that players consider the lines in half the posted hands to be sub-optimal (and probably pay more attention to griffey than me here, cos he is undoubtedly a better 6-max player than I), then don't you think that the same may apply in your biggest winning hands? If you manage to miss a few bb in a value hand every, say, few hundred hands, then this will dramatically affect your win-rate. Posting without reads, even vpip/pfr is a good enough read, makes it harder to comment effectively on the hands as well.

asking why the pre-flop call was actually a genuine question. I figured that answering it in detail would be useful for you cos writing stuff like this down always is (like my sb pre-flop post in my op - even if it's not so valuable to anyone else. It made me think about things that I didn't write about, but writing it has definitely made me better at poker) - plus it will be faster for you cos you have already thought about this standard spot in 6-max games. Thus saving me the time of working it out for myself - cos i'm lazy sometimes but i should do it anyway, will do. It's #10 on my study list for now, i'll get to it in singapore i guess.
Anyway, my gut response to this spot is to call or 3-bet. Which i choose is entirely dependent on sb and deivisJ, hard to say whether calling or raising is best with zero reads.
Definitely raise the flop regardless though.

K2 is the nuts here. I don't think that donking the flop is the best value line. Again a little villain dependent, but you know that bluffing here with air is incredibly effective, right? cos villains never have a hand. i prefer to balance my air with draws more than monsters cos our fold equity is so high.

the more i think about the 5s6s hand, the more it becomes clear that you just gotta raise the flop. If you aren't raising this flop then you should be folding pre. Calling the flop bet is spew cos villain's range is so weak that you don't even have implied odds to call the flush draw. Raise or fold flop, and don't fold = raise!!!
I also don't like betting the turn cos you don't have a strong hand cos you never flat his cbet on this flop texture if you have a strong hand.
