staying 2 more nights including tonight

I've made friends with a local girl and she's showing me around the local areqas of thailand. One of my uni friends is showing me the nightlife. I'm staying in a YHA dorm because everything else is booked out.

only 300 baht per night which is great...

nice trip from samet back to bangkok today. managed to join up with other tourists for the car ride to save some money. these last two days has been great for my budget. relaxing on the beach... my god thailand is heaps cheaper than singapore. accomodation only $13 AUD for 2 people! nice place too has A/C and friend and in room safe a bungalow by the beach

3 nights ago I pulled an all nighter. Checked out early in the morning, went on a day tour, stuck the luggate in my friends room. Partied all night, and left at about 5:00 AM. 'cos I met a nice girl at a discotheque. stayed the night with her. gotta love free accomodation. I paid her for letting me use her room though; I mean I have no idea whether she was expecting to get paid to sleep (I didn't think so because she was really having a night off). So paying her for the room seemed like a good way to preserve face on all sides - if she wasn't hoping to get paid she wouldn't be offended and if she was then she did. I mean the money is nothing to me anyway. It's about 2 rounds of blinds at my normal table.

at this rate I should not need extra money unless I start going crazy.

Tonight I go out with a local I met when asking directions. she works @ a bar so I offered to pay her bar so she can take the night off (very cheap only $10AUD). we're going to go ice skating and bowling and see musical and salsa dancing. All inexpensive!? why so little time in thailand leh? must stop over here next time i travel.

Next leg of my trip is redang island, off the coast of malaysia. i see cloris! and adeline! miss them much. not as much as i miss mum, but still a bit.

not getting poker withdrawal symptoms yet. must be a good sign. I'm looking to get home and make some money. Thankfully I made so much money in the last few months it could sustain 3 years of spending in Thailand the way I'm going now. I mean I don't exactly stay in posh hotels and I eat nice food but not too expensive food.
