this could be my last post for a while. Or maybe my next to last one depending on whether I have the time to play and post within the next few days.

I leave for BKK Thailand in a week's time. 3 nights there, and then I spend 6 nights in Pattaya. Down to Singapore to see a girl I miss very much, then up to Redang Island, Malaysia to actually do some relaxing (lets face it, especially where I've chosen to stay I ain't gonna be getting a lot of sleeping done in the land of smiles). Back down to singapore for a week and a half, and maybe a couple of days in KL, Malaysia thrown in.

I'm so excited, I just can't hide it! I love travelling, and this particular part of the world is one of my favourites. One drawback though - start of monsoon season. Means the accomodation is nice and cheap and the prices of everything becomes more negotiable. But staying in good health is an issue. Had 2 injections done today. Fluvax (anti-influenza immunization) and Typhoid. In a few days I'm getting boosters on my tetanus and HepB; I still have a little resistance left, but not enough. Besides I'm doing more travelling at the end of the year so I might as well just get it done now and enjoy the protection for one more trip!

If I sound paranoid, it's 'cos last time I went to Indonesia to do earthquake relief. As it was an emergency operation, there was no pre-planning and no time to take my typhoid shots and anti-malarial medication. I saved a few dozen people, but got struck down by malaria in my third week. Malaria sucks. It really does. I'm fully medicated this time and I've bought new extra strong insect repellent.

The month of June has been a little bit swingy. Didn't get as many hands in as I would have liked.

But the good news is I've established myself on 2 new sites. I've finally managed to beat FTP for a large amount. Now I have my confidence up, I should be fine there. I'm also back on Bodog. I worked the bonus money I "found" up to $3200 now.

I've even had moderate success on Stars. Although I refuse to play there now. I don't know if it's rigged, but if any site was rigged, then it's Stars. Not tournaments though. I don't feel a need to make a big fuss about it; I just don't play on Stars. Plenty of other sites to choose from.

My results so far:

5.4K hands on Party for +$3.3K
7.8K hands on FTP for +$2.6K
Unknown # of hands on Bodog for +$1.6K
Very few hands on Pokerstars +$0.5K

So that's 8K for the month, which exceeds my informal goal of $6000 a month. It's only slightly fewer hands than I've been playing up to this point during my last 2 months. And I had to study for exams for quite a few days which hindered my flow. I've managed to surpass this benchmark significantly during the last 3 months. So I'm very happy.
