Well my constant attempts to sabotage my own Operation are starting to wear me down.

I've been playing a few thousand hands of Short-Handed Limit Hold 'Em.

Traditionally I've been a significant loser at the game; but felt like giving it a another spin for fun.
I've been playing $2/4 and $3/6 for the last few days. Until today I was losing a fair bit at $2/4 and making a little more at $3/6.

Yesterday I had a bad start, losing a fair bit at $2/4 and then in the evening managed to lose some more.
But I kept on going until I managed to win a lot of it back, really felt I'd settled into a groove and was playing well.

Came back today and managed to lose $300. I can't believe it, it just rolled away, never lost a really giant pot, but a few big ones. But it seemed like my outs never came in and my opponents did. I'm sure I bled a few BBs off by maybe calling a flop I shouldn't have, or even failing to fold to a 3-bet pre-flop.
But at the same time my opponents were hitting their outs and I was losing with my big hands.

I got my last $200 from Interpoker, so I've moved over to Sun the last leg of my month's bonus-whoring. So far at all types of poker I'm now down $800 this month; with $500 claimed in bonus and $250 earned in rakeback.

I've got another $150 coming in rakeback and bonus. So I can still turn a profit this month, but I have to try to get to the end of the month without further drama.
I suppose it'll be $50NL 6-max, the only game I expect to win these days. (that's not entirely true, I'm also up (barely) at $3/6 Limit and $100NL full-ring).

So what have I got out of it? Is it the possibility of finishing up $50 at the end of the month? Is that what the thousands of hands were worth? Or have I improved? Have I learned to play better poker?

That really remains to be seen. I honestly thought I had improved a lot at 6-max LHE, but today's performance makes me question it. And the fact that my "long term" (16k hands or so) $50NL winrate is about 1bb/100 is a little disappointing too.
