I think I'm improving as a player.

I'm not sure if this is exactly the right move in the following hand but I had an idea based on what i made of the opponent and the position and it worked.

Limit Hold'em CryptoLogic ($1/$2)
Converted by FTRConv
10-handed

StacksUTG+1: $57.75
UTG+2: $38.75
MP1: $67
MP2: $55
MP3: $41.75
Hero: $40
BTN: $53.75
SB: $85.75
BB: $50
UTG: $24.96

Pre-Flop: Hero is CO with K 7 (poster)
UTG folds, UTG+1 folds, UTG+2 folds, MP1 folds, MP2 folds, MP3 folds, Hero checks, BTN folds, SB calls, BB checks,

Flop:(3SB) T Q J (3 players)
SB checks, BB bets, Hero raises, SB folds, BB calls,

Turn:(5.5BB) 5 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero checks,

River:(5.5BB) 9 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets, BB calls,
Final Pot: 7.5 BB

I paid an extra $1 on the flop to see the river (rather than calling a potential $2 turn bet).
This sort of free-card play was actually something I didn't even know about a month or so ago (probably before I read SSHE).

So whatever the results, I *do* think I'm improving my knowledge of the game and that has to be worth something...
