So there was an aggressive 3bettor sat on my left last night. He was playing exploitatively against me b/c I was folding too much to 3bets, in hindsight I was too tight and too passive in the face of aggression.
Planned adjustments:
- I think next time I run into this situation I need to GII lighter and much sooner, for gameflow if nothing else. Not taking that shit.
- resteal lighter as I'm not the only one at these stakes making this mistake
- look at adding some expanded hover stats to my HUD as it's currently light (vpip/pfr/3bet%/ATS/FTS that's it)
Planned study:
- HoH 1 2 & 3 (again)
- Kill Phil and Kill everyone
- Play with push/fold, resteal/fold, short calling ranges and get a solid feel for them again, something I haven't done for a couple of years.
- From this, explore profitable 3bet bluffing ranges based on tendencies.
3bet bluffing range:
- hands just outside our flatting range (e.g flat with 66, 3bet with 55)
- Blocker hands (Ax / Kxs), especially if we expect them to 4bet/fold not call e.g. they're OOP
- SCs too weak to call
- Aim for 2:1 value combos to bluff combos
