change of plan. I'm playing too much poker - the days are getting longer and it's time to surf and climb more... I won't play any more hands during August - except the rtr freeroll. A good test of the addiction too. I will study a bunch of poker in these couple of weeks though - especially profiling some regs and thinking through some theory.

I left town for a week yesterday, last night was all about good live music - i've maybe got a new favourite live act.

I'm also re-thinking what I want from poker. And how best to achieve that. First step is withdrawing $5k from my bankroll now that the US$ is strong vs the NZ$. That money is going to be life money - sitting in a savings account until i decide to hit the road again, my poker bankroll is halved - but so what?! I'm still comfortably rolled for the stakes i want to play. Actually, I'm going to move back to 50nl and grind $500 out for old times sake - just to prove a point to myself. Then go whore some bonuses grinding 100nl - cake, ultimate bet, absolute, here I come!!!

When my roll gets back to $10k I'll probably pull another $3k out... turning poker $ into life $ is kinda cool! Next I will learn some other poker - I want to learn to play 6-max well before moving to 200nl and beyond. Omaha and stud are going to be fun to learn. And I think it's time I started some MTTs, just a few. Taking poker back to the hobby play for a time...
things are good
