It's not retarded - the feel of a site is a real comfort blanket in a game whose very essence is rooted in uncertainty. And there is a real sense of displacement and "wrongness" when you start somewhere new - your brain notices all the differences, you get annoyed at any relative lack of functionality, and even minute differences in speed, placement of virtual chips etc. is much more unsettling than by rights it should be.
This tends to be exacerbated when you start off at a new site by losing - you're more likely to get angry or tilty, and blame the interface or the players or whatever. So when you do move - and it sounds like you should, if only to get out of this rut - you need to have double the discipline and concentration, at least until it becomes normal.
Once you get a few winning sessions under your belt - and if this happens immediately after a move it's amazing how much of a psychological difference it can make - you'll be fine wherever you are. The key thing here is that you do something to force you out of your current unsatisfactory situation.
