Haven't posted for a few days.....been a busy weekend.
Weekend poka was a mixed bag for me. All told I was a net -$60 for Fri/Sat nights, and I didn't play at all on Sunday. Last night, I was fortunate to hit a good run of cards and had a $490 profit for the night. My total for the prop bet is +$894. Right now my table mix is:
2 tables $200 FR
3 tables $100 FR
3 tables $25 6max--I have gone over my 20K goal, so I should move this on up to $50 or $100. However, in the last 2+ weeks (since the prop bet started), I have dropped 7+ buyins and my winrate was down to 4 ptbb/100, so I am conflicted as to whether to move up ("this was mostly due to variance") or stay down ("this was more likely bad play"). I haven't gone through my hands thoroughly enough yet to make that decision. I have trouble at times convincing myself that I am really behind to a 60/43, and also probably don't reraise these guys light enough.
I am pleased with my progress from the beginning of the year at $100 FR. For a long time I was breakeven to slightly losing. I seem to have that turned around. Now I am easing myself into the $200 tables. The game seems only slightly more aggro, but not too much more difficult. I have to get over the mental block of losing a $200 stack as well.
I will look for some $25 hands to post.
