Even though I'm not particularly happy at the moment, overall the big picture for July is positive:

1. +450 online over 40k hands of 50nl
2. I didn't stray beyond 50nl
3. +150 live. I got to smoke, drink, and eat plenty of free food in the process.
4. played 10k hands the final two days of the month
5. locked up platinumstar before the last two days of the month
6. I've got 81.5k FPP's!
7. BR: 2500
8. I'm a better player than I was a month ago, more optimistic, and more motivated.


One blemish was logging my final 500 hands and dropping 200. Two major blunders that altogether cost me a stack was the main reason for disappointment. I realized I was playing frustrated and tired and promptly ended that session before anything worse happened!

The plan for August is to start working in 100nl tables.. while it's not essential to my goals that this shot works successfully I sure hope it does because that would make getting supernova and unlocking major bonus cash much quicker. I'm not sure when I'm going to start - probably after I earn a couple more BI at 50nl. At the end of June I was considering taking an indefinite break from poker, so clearly I'm in a better place mentally now than i was then.

46.3k VPP until supernova with 5 months to go. I'm behind pace, but it's within reach.

The moral of the story is that persistence and discipline are what winning SSNL players need to grow their bankroll and improve their game.
