Poker April is off to a good start: up nearly 10 buy ins over my last 7k hands. Definitely still running well, but good table selection also contributes greatly to my winrate. I'm going to get to play another 100k hands at 50nl, which means i'll have a 200k 50nl sample to look at sometime this summer. I'm eager to see my long term winrate; so far over 90k hands i'm at 9bb/100 but i seem to be running well all the time.
Realizing i can do a lot more to study, experiment, and improve my game, last session i started opening more hands on the button.. min raising. min raising preflop on the button is a really cool move and i'm going to continue to use it as long as my opponents play so badly against it! most of the regs at 50nl seem to call the min raise preflop, then c/f to my PSB cbet.. which is smaller than a normal cbet if you raise 3x, and greater fold equity imo.
I withdrew some more of my roll, but only to have some funds available to reload the next time a bonus is being offered. I missed Full Tilt's last $500 deposit bonus, and i don't want that to happen again! once my roll is close to where it needs to be for 100nl, i can always reload the money i'm pulling off today.
thinking about my last post, i have set 20k as my profit goal for 2010. it would not only be awesome but it is also doable, provided i continue to play 30k+ hands every month. Summer months i should be able to get 50k+ hands in if i play inspired. btw i'm saving my FPP's for the rest of the year so i can get the 4k bonus on Stars. That bonus on its own would be enough to allow me to move up to 200nl, provided things don't derail before the end of the year and i keep putting in solid hand volume.
gonna get a subscription to BlueFirePoker with the funds i am withdrawing; a necessary poker investment for sure
