I was operating on the assumption that trying to put the pedal to the metal and push as hard as you can all the time is going to be less of a "controlled," "understood" game with well defined boundaries, whereas more conservative approaches tend to be more under control, even they're stupid. Eg: even someone who only 3bs QQ+/AK and auto-ships QQ/AK against any and all opponents still has a firm and certain plan and kinda sorta vague understanding of what they're doing, even if the plan is stupid as fuck.

That assumption is probably mostly true, but not theoretically essentially true, and it would, in fact, be inaccurate to list it as an advantage of 3b'ing less.
