$2NL - Have to start somewhere
I have been keeping a poker journal and a spreadsheet of my results for the last week but I was keeping it private, and then I realised that it was a stupid idea when I could make a blog on here where all the members have more experience and knowledge of the game than me, so why not try and take advantage of that. Ok so onto the blog....
“It's hard work, gambling. Playing poker. Don't let anyone tell you different. Think about what it's like sitting at a poker table with people whose only goal is to cut your throat, take your money and leave you out the back talking to yourself about what went wrong inside. That probably sounds harsh. But that's the way it is at the poker table. If you don't believe me, then you're the lamb that's going off to the slaughter.” Stu Ungar
This is probably my favourite poker quote, and was said by one of the best no limit holdem players of all time. I think it demonstrates how hard you have to work at poker to get even a little bit ahead.
As I said in the title I am currently playing $2NL 9 Max, which is the game that I have the most experience in uptill now so I decided it would be a good start to my new poker career to continue with it. I started on the 2nd of January (still drunk on the 1st) with $6 that a friend sent me and that is going to be my starting bankroll and if I lose it I lose it, I can't afford to put any more on at the current time. Since the 2nd though, I have played 2775 hands and won $7.12 bringing my total br up to $13.12 (not including todays session's).
Bascially I am going to be 2 or 4 tabling and just playing standard abc poker and trying to win some money to start with, aswell as trying to read my way through the beginners digest.
