    Question Zoom Poker

OK, enough with the banner already

So i know some of yous guys (Kick, L_Clan) have played some Zoom - what's the general opinion?

on the upside, the player pool is - i guess - biased towards 'recreational', and it's ... errrr.... fun? can i say that?

the flipside is that HUDs are almost useless, and reads are difficult given that the table line-up is in constant flux, so "ABC" poker seems to be the order of the day.

but then i know bugger-all, so anyone care to enlighten me?

I don't play zoom, but I used to play rush on FT (play money). I think these 2 things actually would translate into real monies play.

One thing I remember is to watch out for the Small Blind. They could have insta-folded from OOP, but they didn't.

Also, the Big Blind is slightly looser about seeing flops, since they were forced to wait until someone raised before they could insta-fold. They know that the action was folded to the CO or BTN who tanked then raised, and might be stealing with a weak hand.

I'm playing 25nl zoom right now. Taking time to take notes on regs and go back and look at HH's with them is a huge advantage since nobody does it. A lot of decisions vs unknowns are based on HUD stats though.

    I 4 table and can get in ~ 1200 hands/hour

well any sample size is better than no sample size, and lots has been written about meaningful sample sizes as far as HUDs go. I've played close to 200K hands of zoom so far so I have a decent amount of hands on all regs
