    Default Your view?

You are HU, blinds are relatively high.

You are literally not picking up hands at all.

Your opponent keeps raising and showing nice hands.

Do you be patient but get ur stack eaten by blinds and wait for good hand, or push with the shit that you have.

Now, granted sometimes he will fold, but you know how rushses are and how they can get a string of nice hands and you can get a string of shit so....

You arent going to win heads up matches by camping out for cards. Generally, the person that is the most agressive (without being retarded) wins.

Why are you worried about a "rush"? Just because they have a good hand this hand doesnt give them a higher probability of having a good hand next round. Cards should matter less anyway. Play the player, use reads and outplay him

I'm not an expert on heads up, and the more expirenced players here will be able to tell you more specifically how to play, but I think generally preflop, A high is concidered the nuts, K high is concidered almost the nuts, Q high is definately raisable, as is any pocket pair. On the flop, any pair is also concidered the nuts until proven otherwise. Act accordingly, you should find plenty of hands to play/raise with.

My point is, what if my reads are right that he constantly has monsters, and anyone who plays poker knows that these things can happen, where someone gets a huge string of good cards.

Then you are beat. But if you fold everything (or most) you are beaten anyway.

He WANTS you to think he's only pushing monsters. Don't be afraid to lose. You've already made it into the money, gamble. Any two can pair up. I've been sucked out on many times HU with a better hand going in. So if you're read is right* and you're up against a monster just push the hand that you think has some potential and hope your cards are live. Oh, and practice.

*your read is not right if you think he "constantly has monsters"

I'm AI everytime I have the button. I'm AI with any Ace, Any K, Any Q, some jacks, anything suited, anything connected or gap connected about 34.

In short, I will not be hitting a dry run of cards.

If you have more chips and you go AI with AK vrs 72. You're giving yourself a 30% chance to win the entire tourny and a 70% chance to come in second. It's win win!

I think you'll have more success if you at least pick up your cards and look at them.

In HU games, cards have more value. You can play alot more hands then usual. Try low pairs and suited connectors. If he raises everyime pre-flop you should at least call sometimes with decent hands to see the flop. If all low cards come out for you and you make a set, chances are you got him beat. And if you feel confident enough, you can re-raise him pre-flop and see where he stands, and he might just fold. Because there is no way he can get good cards everytime.
