Default Yet another AK preflop -- do you ANSWER an AI call?

AUPatrick started tight but loosened up as the remaining people at the table were obviously tight, mostly tight/passive (God, how I'm trying though)

OOO OOO OOO Do you go to UCSD Ollie!!!!!!????

A play like this is always always always a low pocket pair that is afraid of playing post flop.

While I probably never fold this.
Keep this in mind. You have a shit load of chips. The blinds are tiny in comparison to your stack. If you lost 150 chips here, you should be good enough to make it all back AND more wielding your big stack. Plus, its the bubble! Which means good aggro play would let you build ur stack SOOOO easily.

Here is why you shoudl call however.
If you win this you are ITM with a HUGE stack. You are flipping for half of your stack. If you lose, are still above 10xBB. So what essentially happens is. Half the time you pwn. THe toher half of the time, your like FUCK! O well I can still pwn!

LOL, I was all set to say "NO WAY!!!" ... then I saw this was for SnG/MTT ...

I'd say only if one of you is starting to really feel preassure from the blinds... (doesnt matter which one)

usually the real strong hands - A, KK, QQ will want to get some action so they will not push AI 10xBB.
This move is usually done with low PP, Aq,Aj,AT, KQ and even worse

    Definetly call.

With 4 players if you dont call this what would you call an AI raise with ?

I'm new to SnGs but since I have been playing just to get ITM at all costs (based on strat-guides and posts here) I have been winning. I would have laid it down. Eat the best hand to not risk half your stack on the bubble.

No, but I did used to go to a whole load of their parties. I'm actually at a community college down here, getting ready to transfer to Humboldt State next spring.

    That's what I figured.

Results of the SnG (sorry, $5+.50, forgot to include that) ended up with me taking the whole thing since it didn't end up being either's last mistake. Took my lumps, then I took my money. I think I'm slowly starting to get the hang of this "discipline" stuff.
