Default The Worst hand I have played in weeks:

$5-$150 spread limit. Casino Arizona $3 and $5 blinds.
    $300 max buy in.
Average stack is about $500. I have $450
The table is loose passive preflop, Tight Agressive post flop.
I have been picking up small pots and losing big pots to some strange hands. (TPTK v bottom 2 pair on a flop of k65, AQs v 57d on a board of AdQc9d8s2d etc.)
I am in middle position, and since there is little preflop raising, I limp in with 78s. 3 other players limp, including 2 LA players in late position. The BB checks.
The pot is $21 after rake.
    flop comes 10,8,2 rainbow.
I am first to act, and bet $15 1 fold, LAplayer raises to $30 2 folds.
I know I am behind, but i call for 2 reasons. I think he has just top pair, and I have implied odds to draw to my 6 outs. Also, if a scare card comes, I think I can take the pot away.
    The pot is $79.
His chip stack is about $700, but he has been relatively tight postflop.
The turn card is the 9 giving me middle pair and an OESD. I put my opponent on either j,10 or A,10 I think he probably would have raised from LP with A,10, so his most like hand is J10 offsuit. This would give him a higher straight draw, and I know he will bet. I have 2 options if i am going to stay in the pot, bet into him, and hope he folds, or checkraise, and hope he folds. I don't want to give him a free card, (despite the fact that he is ahead, I want him to have a weak hand, as opposed to a strong one.) So I bet into him $75.
After a lot of thought, he raises the minimum, to $150. I call quickly representing 2 pair and planning to take the pot away on the river.
At this point I am pretty sure he has J10o, I am pretty sure that he thinks that I have 89 or 10,9.
There is $379 in the pot. I have about $200 left in my stack.
The river card is a 2.
    The final board is 10,8,2,9,2.
This is actually the WORST card that I could see outside of a Q or 7.
Since I was repping 2 pair, we now "both" had 2 pair, and if I had 89, his 2 pair beat mine. I can only bet $150 on the river, giving him over 3 to 1 to call. Since this is almost a required call (he only has to have the best hand 25% of the time to make this call profitable)
I can no longer bluff at the river, so I check, he checks behind and shows Q,10o (I was a little off in my read, i guess)
I disgustedly throw my cards in the muck and mutter "you rivered me!" and he chuckles "I figured."

So, does anyone have any thoughts of how my thought process was off, (other than fold 87 in EP). Not sure what I'm looking for. Probably just wanted to vent.

Seems like you tried to play a little too complicated, but you had a good read on the player and if any card other than that 2 fell on the river, you probobly would have forced a fold. Why were you desperate for a big pot?

Why were you desperate for a big pot?
Hadn't thought about this. It is probably true though.
I had been playing poker for far too long, and should have gone home. I was about $700 up from playing $6/$12 for the past 9 hours or so until my table broke. I got on the list for the $5-$150 game, and played $3/$6 while I was waiting (which is an interesting story in itself) I am normally a very solid, tight player. The 3/6 game was ultra tight for some reason, so I was playing really loose agressive and grinding out a small profit.
I was a little tilty in the bigger game after losing a couple big pots, and I "knew" that I could take this hand down.
In hindsight, given my read, instead of repping 2 pair, I should have gone for a BIG raise on the turn to push him out, representing a set or maybe the straight.
(or folded to his raise on the flop, which would be my normal play.)
I guess the moral of the story is, I make mistakes after 11 hours in a casino. I need to take my win and go home, come back the next weekend.
