    Default Wierd spot with TT

Was somewhat puzzled by this hand. UTG is 21/16 over ~250 hands. Cbets 63%. Hated the spot because it seems like we're up against either monsters that have us crushed or draws we're flipping against. Our hand has little room to improve and we wont be able to stand action on alot of turn cards so I dont like calling. Would a better flop line be to check back for pot control? It seems pretty nitty not to bet here. Thoughts?

    NL Holdem $0.25(BB) Replayer
    SB ($24.75)
    BB ($37.70)
    UTG ($25)
    Hero ($25.91)
    BTN ($18.46)

    Dealt to Hero T T

UTG raises to $0.85, Hero calls $0.85, fold, fold, fold

    FLOP ($2.05) 2 3 8

UTG checks, Hero bets $1.30, UTG raises to $3.62, Hero ??

    FOLD. Why?

UTG raiser range is pretty tight and his c bet is tight as well he has a peice, best case you are looking at a A high nut flush draw and everything else in his ranges kills you. Very Std fold.

I did end up folding to his raise. I'd like more input on my bet when he checks the flop though. Is it better to check behind in these spots and then see what happens on the turn?

I like to bet cause he may float with any heart. Which means you can get value of that. He will never fold anything better. But he may call you with a draw, might stick around with 99 if one is a heart, which is awesome.

I don't think a TAGish player will be c/c a lone heart draw very often at all. 9h9x, 7h7x are possible, but a very small chunk of his range. I really feel like the majority of his range that checks this flop is either giving up or is a range of better hands or better draws that are killing you equity wise. I'd probably go ahead and check back. The only real merit to betting the flop here I think is to protect vs random overs that are giving up, given he's utg though I think his range is strong enough to include enough big hands that our bet will be -EV enough for us not to want to worry about protection.

Shouldn't this tag be betting this flop with any heart? unless he has a read on us taht we're very aggro...

This is usually a big hand played funny without a history of suicidal aggression.
