    Default Who could fold this?

If this goes in the bad beat section then my apologies. I am mad at myself right now.. I have not laid down AA once on a non-completely obvious board. It's a huge leak for me since AA is beaten approx 20% of the time and those 20% of the time we need to be laying it down instead of stacking off. No reads on the villain here.

    PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.05 BB (9 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

    MP1 ($11.47)
    Hero (MP2) ($9.64)
    MP3 ($5.59)
    CO ($4.86)
    Button ($5)
    SB ($5.71)
    BB ($6.81)
    UTG ($11.03)
    UTG+1 ($6.32)

    Preflop: Hero is MP2 with A, A
    3 folds, Hero bets $0.20, MP3 calls $0.20, 1 fold, Button calls $0.20, 2 folds

    Flop: ($0.67) 4, 7, J (3 players)
    Hero bets $0.70, MP3 raises to $2, 1 fold, Hero calls $1.30

    Turn: ($4.67) 4 (2 players)
    Hero checks, MP3 bets $3.39 (All-In), Hero calls $3.39

    River: ($11.45) 5 (2 players, 1 all-in)

    Total pot: $11.45 | Rake: $0.55

If you have learned how to fold AA on boards that aren't 3 suited or a straight right off the bat then please share advice on how to do it.

I'm never laying down AA against a <60bb stack. I don't care what the board looks like.

    What's his HUD stats.
if he's like 0.7 agg. factor over a decent size I could consider folding.

Yeah unless he's crazy passvie I'd never fold here. To fold we need to put him on exactly a set, and for 60bbs we'd need to be rediculously sure.

I could lay it down there. It'd be hard to do with aces, but I might.

USUALLY, when I bet pot with top pair and I'm raised, I'm usually beat and may as well fold. This doesn't work great with pocket overpairs, because that betting pattern may also indicate villian has his own pocket overpair.

It doesn't work great with pocket overpairs, but odds are good villan has two pair or a set.

I would not lay it down in years. You could almost rule out a set because of pre flop raise depending on how the player has been playing( I realize you said no read on him) I probably would have re-raised the flop to try and get him off a draw.

This is terrible thinking. When someone raises the flop it means he is representing a big hand and WILL show up with sets sometimes in this spot. Assuming a guy can't be strong because he didn't slowplay is so horrible and prolly explains why so many donks pay my sets off with bottom pair all the time.

We don't fold because he has lots of other stuff besides sets in his range which we are ahead of.

We don't want to "get him off a draw" because we are ahead of the draws!! If he folds a draw after putting this much of his stack in he is horrible, but he hardly ever will.

I don't know how to Quote. But why wouldn't you rule out a set? 4 times BB pre flop raise, what would you call with that has a 4 in it? 5-4s? A-4s? almost unheard of[/quote]

lol oh I totally misunderstood what you were saying.

I agree he has close to 0 4s on his range but this isn't a set.

A set is a pocket pair that makes 3 of a kind on the board in this case 77 or JJ. If we're talking bout the turn these become boats and A4 is trips.
