It was started by attorney/television producer Stephen Lipscomb who now serves as CEO of WPT Enterprises, the firm that controls the World Poker Tour. Events of the WPT happen all over the world

The World Series of Poker is a set of poker touraments spanning from Omaha to Holdem to Razz with a grand finale of the $10,000 No Limit Holdem Main Event. The WSOP events occur only in Las Vegas
