LOL @ this. Yeah, the KK hand I posted is kinda crossing the line from BC to the Tilt forum.

Ok, welcome to the forum. You just told us a whole shitload about how awful of a poker player you are in your 1st two posts.

Listed very, very carefully to what I'm about to tell you.

    YOU SUCK AT POKER.

Now, embrace that you suck at poker. Rejoice in it. Give your self a high five, whatever. Because you're in the right place if you want to get better.

Read every article in the Beginner's Digest. And before you object, let me tell you that yes, everything in it does specifically apply to you. There is no area from which you are special or exempt.

    Learn Bankroll management.
    Learn ABC poker.
    Learn how to formulate ranges.
Learn how to crush the micros and pwn noobs.

Then, and only then, should you move up in the ranks. Let your poker play and your bankroll determine what stakes you should be playing at.

You lost your whole bankroll with a hand that 99% of the time wins, and that no-one, ever in the history of poker has EVER folded. ever. It's never happened.

    What does this tell you?

    A) It tells you, you made the right decision getting all your money in the middle with quads, no matter what the outcome and

    B) When you're playing with all your money on the table at the same time, it's an absolute recipe for disaster, and can only lead to misery.

BR management will lead you to the promised land, or at least it'll let you keep playing poker when all those donkeys and fishes keep calling your bluffs!
The Dunning–Kruger effect is a cognitive bias in which unskilled individuals suffer from illusory superiority, mistakenly rating their ability much higher than average. This bias is attributed to a metacognitive inability of the unskilled to recognize their mistakes

Actually they are possible. You see when your ahead by 96% or whatever, that 4% will still happen some of the time.
Whenever you have your opponent drawing dead and your 100% to win do you ever see yourself lose?

    That's what I thought.

To answer the original question, it works as follows:

The deal with the flop is you will miss it.

If you hit it, someone else will hit it better.

If you have a high pocket pair, an ace will hit on the flop.

If you have pocket aces, someone will hit 2 pair.

And if you somehow get through all that and end up ahead on the flop...

Someone will call your bet with bad odds and suck out on the turn or the river.

    Any more questions?
