Default What play do you like to use to get the bad players all in?

When you flop a monster like a set, what are the most affective methods for getting the other player all in (in the low limits)

Going all in works fairly well, chasers love to call that with 4 of a flush/straight...

Betting the pot appears to (at least so far) make more fold than going all in...

1/2 pot bets get callers often, but doesnt make much, and can rarely give them good pot odds....

What tatic do you like to use?

    Q. Is poker Gambling?
    A. Do you use correct bankroll management?

Don't know. Depends on the players. What are their tendencies?

if i'm out of position i like to bet 1/2 the pot on the flop, and either check raise all in on the turn or if its checked behind i push on the river. I'd never do that with a set though, too vulnerable to risk giving free turn cards. I'm trying to finish the hand on the turn with a set, flopped quads, or top full house i'll make the trap moves with.

    You clearly dont play enough

Sometimes, there is no way you can get a player to put all his chips in. The best way to extract as many as possible is to know that players habits. Aggressive players bet into weakness, but tight players have to be put to decisions to get their chips out.

I bet according to the stack size of the "bad player" and his betting habits. If he likes to push I try to signal weakness and let him do the all in move.
If he likes to call I bet quite high on every card. If he is getting careful and I'm first to bet on the river I bet half his stack on the river to get some money or even an all in reraise.

    The classic "PArty Poker Move"

Raise preflop, flop a monster, bet min, get raised, reraise AI.

    COunt their chips.
