Default What kinda move is that?

Alright, does anyone else get befuddled by the minbet, especially when the pot has some size to it. It confuses me all the time. I reraise with next to nothing and take down the pot often, but occasionally I get called and I'm in "Oh, shit!" mode. Does anyone else wonder why this kind of betting happens in NLHE. Any comments on how to read this move?????

I read it for a draw (almost a tell) and tend to (re)raise 3/4 - full pot and take it down. If it turns out someone was trying to trap me then fair enough and i fold to the reraise or check/fold to the call without a reasonable draw of my own.
Im happy to fold after my (reraising) play fails so im perfectly happy with people trying this and giving me extra chips before telling me they are hovering over the fold button.

Edit: this is where player notes come in handy. My default play is to reraise with any kind of hand (including gutshot draws) and this has proved profitable but if a player shows a strong hand after this play it WILL go in my notes.
gabe: Ive dropped almost 100k in the past 35 days.

alright, that's kinda how i see it. I see this as a really weak play and almost a "hope the guys behind me don't have anything and i might win the pot" bet. I'm playing the really low levels right now trying to work off a bonus on FullTilt. Its almost an auto reraise in my book. And I also reraise about 3/4 the pot. I tell ya what though, i'm getting tired of backing down to these .05/.10 tables. I realize I'm staying well within my roll right now ($250 on Tilt) but even 3 tabling it I don't feel that I'm making as much per hour as I could at the .25/.50 level. I played there for a while 2 months ago and was doing quite well. Everyone told me to back down, and I kinda hit a wall after backing down and lost about $175. I have around $325 total online right now. I feel I'm playing well, but getting through the fishy play is difficult for a stubborn person like me. Also it seems i have to outplay people so much more lately. Tongith my cards were so cold, but I managed to double up on a .05/.10 table after about an hour and a half of just outplaying people. I never showed down a hand and rarely had a piece when i took down a pot. Just seems like a lot of work for a whopping $10.

More times than not, the min bet is a shot in the dark to take down the pot and/or a drawing bet hoping for a smooth call to see some cheap cards. Throw out a decent sized bet to get them to fold. If you are called or re-raised, re-evaluate your position. If they call and check the next card, they are drawing.

I always come over the top with any two cards if someone min. bets. I have found that more times than not they fold, which means I took away correct pot odds from them or they were trying to probe bet me. Very rarely will it be a nut hand betting so little. If someone was slow playing, they would probably just check instead of a min. bet. Try it out!!!
