What does it mean?

I've just realized that I've been looking at this website so much and I really don't know what BB means...

As far as I know, it means Big Blind... So when someone says I'm making XBB, do they usually mean out of 100 hands? So in a .50/1.00 NL game making 8.5BB per hour is equivalent to 8.50? lol.. Thanks

for limit, it usually means big bet. so at a 1/2 table, BB=2, not 1.

for NL i believe it means big blind.

a big point of confusion, at least with poker tracker.

in poker tracker:

-limit - BB = big bet, e.g. a 3/6 limit game, BB = $6

-no limit - BB = big bet, e.g. a .50/1 no limit game, BB = $2 (2x the big blind)
