How would opening up my range be +EV in this situation? I would expect the TAG to call (because his range indicates a good starting hand) and the LAG to call (because ... well because he's a LAG). I might even get a reraise from either.
Can you explain? Thanks.
You dont want to be re-raising a TAG that raised UTG unless you have a premium hand.
It sounds like you have good reads on the people at your table, now you just have to apply those reads. I would say the answer is to just play solid poker, fold when it's clear you are beat, and if you think they might be bluffing dont always auto-fold.
You cant be afraid to raise in late position and c-bet the flop. Thats how you make most of your profit. What you need to focus on is the post flop play, and determine when you should raise for value, when you should fold when its clear you are beaten, ect.
