With this...I totally agree. Just that you said that if you expect he's on a steal this play was right is a completely different thing imo. If the guy is a player who only raises good hands then a call could be justified if he's the type paying off better hands and falls in love with his JJ-AA.

If he's a guy who bluffs and steals a great deal a raise/fold is better. Then you should be pretty certain that he's holding the goods if he re-raises or at least you won't any longer have the implied odds to see a flop especially since he won't pay you off anyway since he only attempted to bluff at the pot.
