ugly way to go out 2nd

finally ended up my OTM streak and came in second, but definitely shouldn't have gone out this hand. looking back, i HATE my min reraise on the flop. should have reraised him all in on the flop, or at least not min raised him. y/n? if no, how do you play it? when i was playing the hand, i didn't think i would get anything close to a dangerous card on the turn.

ugh. why do i make such fishy plays?

You played it fine, min raise on flop was 3k which I would say is enough to make it a good raise.

Played fine, he sucked out on you. You had a powerful hand on a good flop heads-up... you want him to commit all his chips chasing whatever he's chasing.

They should put a sticky in this forum, if you get your money in as a huge favorite and lose don't make a thread asking if you played it wrong.

I played an SnG today a guy raised PF w/ QQ I had AA I reraised he pushed I called he rivered a Q. Should I make a thread asking if I played it correctly? Same principal.

sorry you took umbrage, but look at the hand. you were allin with TPTK against a guy with an OESD with only one card to come. you complain about playing it bad then say it was a fishy play to do this....i just don't see how this is not a bad beat post.

flop bet is weak.

i actually did think my bets on the flop might have cost me the hand, which is why i made this post to find out whether or not i was right or wrong. if i'd gone all in on the flop and he had called, well then yeah, it would have been bad luck, no question. but i didn't, so it made me wonder.

i use this forum as a way to get specific questions answered about specific hands. while they may seem stupid and obvious to certain people, they're not obvious to me, which i why i ask them in the first place. i'm still learning. or else i wouldn't be posting here. makes sense right?

point taken about the hand. i guess part of being a new player is not knowing when you play something wrong, but ALSO sometimes not knowing when you play something right. now i know. thanks to the ppl who gave me constructive comments.

Ok, I'm sorry if I offended you with my comments, I didn't mean to. But really, when the money went in you were a huge favorite. You want action from that hand because all he has is 4 outs. If he wants to put all his money in on a gutshot then let him. You played the hand well.

You're upset because you let him gain a draw on the turn... right? You should happy you did- you gave him a reason to kill himself. Were his cards face-up, there's no better way to play this.

Since his cards were face-down though, the play wasn't optimal.
