    Default Tracking software

Is it worth using at micro stakes i.e. 2/5NL?

No, just use a spreadsheet (there are free ones like open office or google docs) to keep up with how long you play and what your profit is or something.

If you're actually going to go through and see what you're doing wrong and what your leaks are, it's never not worth it. Otherwise, don't bother.

and HEM has something similar - based on # of hands not days though. It's free, so do it

Id say its worth it as a coaching tool if you're going to use it to look through your hands and learn and improve.
gabe: Ive dropped almost 100k in the past 35 days.

Yup, get it asap. You need to begin mastering which stats mean what and put together a decent hud for once you move up.

Ok, does anyone know how to convert hand histories that have been emailed to me, into txt files usable on holdem manager? It seems as though I can just copy them into a text file and import, but I don't know how to rename the file as per the normal pokerstars convention.

This is occurring as before I saved HH to my computer, I used to just get them emailed. I reckon I have at least another 2000 hands to be transferred this way.

Have you tried navigating to the PokerStars Hand History folder on your Hard Drive? Open that up and look at the format of the files.

    C:\Program Files\PokerStars\HandHistory

Yeah, theyre text files... but it's the name of the files I'm thinking about.

Funnily enough, the ones I transferred from my Mac, were also text files, but the content was near illegible.

    Argh!!

Hold em manager is getting in the way of my opponents' cards!!!

Is there anyway to alter where the boxes appear?

Just to add - I initially started off purely using a spreadsheet at 2NL, but upon trying PT3, found it extremely useful - particularly when browsing through and analysing hands I've played badly afterwards. Slowly getting used to the stats now, and I can definitely see their advantage.

there ar two free trackers that are out there and have been in use for some time. sharp stats very simple personal tracker no hud just your personal stats. http://sharpstats.ucoz.com/ the 2nd :FPDB free poker data base is just like PT3 or HEM but very hard to set up. it has every thing you would want a hud tracks other players ect. http://fpdb.sourceforge.net/screenshots.php

It doesn't do anything better then hem or pt3 and it has a more complicated user interface.

Nope, but I've seen people complain about it/ask questions about why it's (not) doing something, and getting laughed at for using it, so I'd probably stick to one of the main two, were I you.

Does anyone know of a good guide to setting up an ideal HUD for PT3?
