It is alright to play in a table with some top players. I don't think there's such thing as a superstar or top player at NL100, this is a low NLHE and why would a superstar or top NL player bother with such a low limit. Just make sure that the table you join there are at least a few targets, that is, players who are worse then you, so that you can also win their money. Don't bother to go against players who are better than you.

If you are pwned every time you play $100nl, then you are at the wrong stakes. With so many players at Stars, you will not likely play at the same table with more than two players you have seen before. As such, the chances that you will keep running into that same shark are low. In addition, it is rare that a shark will stay at $100nl for an extended period of time because there is a lot more $ to be made at the higher levels...so even if you do run into a shark, he will be going to deeper waters soon and you won't run into him again. Personally, I play FT and there are a few players who I have made notes on who I consider "solid" but I don't stay away from them by any means.... |

UB is my normally stomping grounds and I track about a half dozen regulars there because the 'group' is realatively small. If there are 6 tables going, myself and the other regulars might be taking up as many as 20 of the available seats. |

I humbly disagree with pretty much all of the above posts.
