    Default Too confused to continue.

Villain was 39/16 over 133 hands. Seemed very fishy over the session. Open limping the vast majority of the time even with hands as strong as AJ from the CO etc. The one thing of note that was a very reliable read he was very passive when he didn't have anything always checking it down to the river even when he was IP.

My reason for calling pre was i had the BTN and a suited ace multiway hoping to flop a flush or big combo draw. At this point thought the fish was strong open raising utg had a his range as tight as AK JJ+ although his sizing was weird if he had a range that strong.

    PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (6 handed) - PokerStars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

    BB ($17.62)
    UTG ($13.53)
    MP ($12.29)
    CO ($4)
    Hero (Button) ($21.30)
    SB ($9.90)

Preflop: Hero is Button with A, J
UTG bets $0.25, MP calls $0.25, CO (poster) calls $0.15, Hero calls $0.25, 2 folds

    Flop: ($1.15) 2, J, 2 (4 players)
UTG checks, MP checks, CO bets $0.10, Hero raises to $0.60, UTG calls $0.60, 1 fold, CO calls $0.50

    Turn: ($2.95) 5 (3 players)
UTG checks, CO checks, Hero bets $1.70, UTG raises to $3.40, 1 fold, Hero folds

    Total pot: $6.35 | Rake: $0.29

Would villain play QQ+ this way?? I folded because i was super confused and villain was super passive when he had nothing even when he was IP then he starting re raising me when i had TPTK OOP? Didn't add up, all i could think of is he flopped quads or played QQ+ super weird what you guys think?

Doubt I'd ever fold at this point in the hand.

Flop raise is weak. Or am I just mindlessly aggressive when I shouldn't be? I'm raising to $0.90.

Think I puke fold turn vs passive villain utg. I don't like folding this spot because our tptk is very strong on this board, but given reads I can't see him having worse here very often.

    No it was weak lol

I was confused by UTG checking the flop was still trying to put him on a range and wasn't paying much attention to bet sizing lol

Looking back on that hand this morning i think he had JJ, 1 combo i know but it's about the only hand you'd feel safe checking there and their are plenty of players left to act that can start the betting for you. betting FD's other PP's etc.

It also fits in with his utg opening range, don't think he's check calling anything but house/quads with 3 players behind and then re raising the turn.

Make it more on flop, $1 or so. I'm folding turn, expecting he has an overpair/55/random 2

Passive players who like to limp a lot very seldom if ever suddenly open raise 22 UTG, so forget about quads. If he has limped AJ from the CO, he could also limp AQ and maybe even AK from UTG. So even though we can't eliminate these holdings, we can weight them as less likely than average. This leaves his range being weighted toward big pairs.

So when he check-calls your flop raise, he doesn't have many hands in his range that are behind your TPTK since he might well have limped KJ, QJ and smaller pockets. So it looks like he has you beat. I'm inclined to take the free card when he checks the turn since I don't see him having much in his range that he'll fold, and if I don't improve, I fold to any decent-sized bet on the river.

He can have QQ+ too, I see fish playing AA in all sorts of weird stupid ways on all sorts of boards. Only today some guy took a quarter of my stack instead of all of it by c/c AA to showdown, despite flush draws. JJ+ is what I give this guy when he raises turn, doubt he raises 55 utg pre when he limps so often, same with 22. I'm sure he has random spazz some non-zero %, but I can't see it being nearly often enough to counter the JJ+ part of his range.

Glad I'm not alone in folding this turn.
