I gotta say that you make tilt sound alot like love with only experiencing it 5 times. I've had to completely restructure my breathing technique to battle my tilt. Tilt can really be brought on by almost anything that overwhelms you emotionally whether it be a bad beat, crap talker at the table, or even a spat witht he spouse. To only have tilted 5 times you have to have the discipline of a monk.
By the way the breathing thing really works. Also planning, and preparing for the things you can expect before a session, or tournament. For example: Tell yourself how you'll react to a bad beat before you start playing, then make yourself deal with it in the right way when it happens.
This technique only takes a few extra minutes every day before you start playing, and saves tons of money.
