    Default Tilt Examples

What is your most comon tilt and how do you notice you are tilting? Mine is starting to play WAY too many chasing hands out of position. (i.e. 67s in early pos).
  2. #2
Mine is chasing suited one gappers from the button or calling from the SB "cause I already have some money in and I can bust somebody". Dumb, dumb, dumb.

I love playing SB since the pot odds are usually very good but it really requires good post flop play.

I tilt by playing 5% more hands and/or moving up a level to make back the money I lost.

Throwing my laptop. Punching things. Yelling at my girlfriend. Loosing sleep. I fucking hate poker.

I know I am on tilt when the thought behind a bet is "fuck it, let's gamble". Combine that with a wife telling me to get off the computer. NOT GOOD!

loosening up my play, cbetting the flop turn and then on the river with ace high...lol...calling allins with TPTK on the flop, occasionally chasing draws when pot odds are slightly against me...umm....calling an all in with overcards...lol...thats it i think, well ihope it is...

Raising sooted junk UTG and fire three barrels after hitting only a piece.

Sometimes I river some weird trips or backdoor straight and beat that JJ/set, then someone else starts his steaming.

But taking a break is still better way, conservative but more reliable...

My biggest donk play when on tilt is overplaying hands. I bet and get minraised, put a guy on a flush draw, and push my stack in. Of course he's not calling. I don't value bet where I really need to.

In terms of physically, I've broken a couple of things in the past and thrown plenty of things. I'm going to include mice in my poker expenses.

But I'm almost past most of this physical aggression. It was part of my new year's resolution. And I'm also trying to narrow down each decision to itself. There's always a right and a wrong, and I know that pushing is usually wrong, for instance. I know that tilting or not, so I'm trying to make the right decision EVERY decision and stick with it, even if I KNOW that guy's going to call and hit his freakin' flush.

Not folding junk hands on BB and then getting sucked in to middle pair because people are checking.
There is no such thing as free checking...

    Your loosing, lolololololololololol
    There's "good" tilt, too.
Like when you win a big hand and start feeling invincible, playing that K-10os UTG. "What the hell, I'll call that ten dollars--if I hit the A, I'll double up again!"
    That sort of thing.

Ignoring reads and instinct is a good sign you're tilting. An example would be having TP KJs on a king high board, and when raised by a tight player, you stick around.
It's not what's inside that counts. Have you seen what's inside?
Internal organs. And they're getting uglier by the minute.

There are different levels of tilt. Some players have a hard time recognizing when they are on tilt and that is very dangerous.

i cap every street at 2/4 with any hand for 5 hands

then i go to 2nl and just pooosh every hand
and bereate everyone for not calling.

Then i call it a day

I used to do that waaaaaaaay back in April last year when I first started online cards.

occasionally chasing draws when pot odds are slightly against me...
Sometimes you can take one card off on the flop but on then turn you need to get away esp if they make a 2/3 to pot sized bet at you.
