Haha, I've never literally thrown up, but I certainly remember my worst day as a professional online poker player.
November 2006: I had been out of the hospital for less than an hour (Hiatal Hernia closure and Gall Bladder removal). All stiched up, smelling like death since I'd been on a hospital bed pissing into a tube and shitting into a pan for a few days, and highly drugged on pain killers, I decided I "needed" to get back to work.
I had just rented a two-story house that my then-wife has whined for, but the only thing that had made it there was the Internet connection. So with my laptop I sat my sick ass down all alone in a 30-degree living room with no furniture and began the $100 Turbo NLHE SNG grind on Stars. I had roughly $14,200 when I logged-on at 10am. Approximately 50 SNGs later, I had less than $10k. That single 4-hour session ushered my move from SNGs to MTTs, which I played full-time throughout 2007.
When I first started playing online poker in 2004, I busto'ed a grand total of 14 times ($50 deposits each) until I caught on. This was back in the days when there were no micro-stakes available. Of all those busto-moments, none compared to the pure bile I felt all over on that cold November '06 morning & afternoon.
