Default super quick 4bet sizing question

    $0.05/$0.10 No Limit Holdem
    9 Players
    Hand Conversion Powered by weaktight.com

    Stacks:
    UTG ($5.52)
    UTG+1 ($7.20)
    MP1 ($10.37)
    MP2 ($12.79)
    MP3 ($13.62)
    kiwimark (CO) ($10)
    BTN ($4.83)
    SB ($15.34)
    BB ($10)

    Pre-Flop: ($0.15, 9 players) kiwimark is CO
5 folds, kiwimark raises to $0.40, 1 fold, SB raises to $1.30, 1 fold, $0.9 to kiwimark ($9.6)?

Chuck in the hand as an example since he 3bet a bit less than I normally expect from OOP but w/e. Basically do you guys have sort of rules of thumb for 4bet sizing ip and oop, what sort of things affect this, what should I be considering etc.

    Thanks!

    Should we flat here ever?

I tried this play and people stacked off w/TT,JJ,QQ when they hit over pair .

Bikes, what you think about this play ?

IMO, if you've got a specific reason for flatting vs. this particular opponent then I think it can be justified, but rarely. You'd be trading some of the PF value of AA for a chance at a much bigger +EV situation post flop, but I think that you'll invite a lot of variance into your game by doing it too much.
As a general rule you want to try to get as much in the pot pf without blowing your opponent out of the pot.

i really disagree, anything about 2.6 is just way too much

fair call. i don't doubt that you understand poker infinitely better than i do. i just felt like we can make it slightly larger here because we will almost never be 4b bluffing at 10nl (thus don't need to size our 4b's in a way that takes into consideration giving our 4b bluff range a "good price"), and because he likely doesn't know much about sizing, and so probably continues with the same range to 2.5 as he does to ~3.

    that was worded horribly. sorry

In position I'd never more than 2x his raise with 100bb effective (which we have). OOP I think it'd be valid to 3bet to 2.8 or so.

Flatting is obviously extremely dynamic dependent. Is there 3bet history? Have you 4bet before? Does he cbet every time he 3bets? Does he c/r a lot when he 3bets? Those are the types of questions you should be asking yourself during the hand. Generally, I hate doing anything but 4betting AA either IP or OOP but if he's a 10/9 super nit with 99% fold to 4bet over a million hands I'd hesitate to do so.
