The good thing about coming from a limit background is that in limit you are in so many marginal situations. In NL you are in those situations a lot, just not as often, but they are definitely more marginal (am I making sense?).
No limit is a game of instinct, numbers can only take you so far. At a full table you should be playing very tight, but every hand you play it should be played aggressively, especially if you play shorthanded like I do. *Always* try to be aggressor except in situations where you need to call to hit a set with your small pair or flop a nice hand (such as a suited connector). The game is all about implied odds. I suggest you play lower limits until you get the hang of things.
