there are many situations that allow for a c/c. there are rivers that should only be c/c. there are flopped monsters that should be c/c to allow your opponent to catch up/bluff. it's not a play that should be used often, I'm just arguing that it has its place.

If you want to be more specific about recommendations of when check/calling leads to angel death, then so be it, but a blanket statement designed to tell people to never ever check/call seems wrong.
