But that's a subset of my point. If your position, your opponents, and their actions tell you that you can represent 62 offsuit as a big hand and take down a pot, that's more important than the fact that 62 offsuit is not a very good starting hand.

The thing is, beginners often don't have very good reading skills and also have a temptation to want to play every hand or close to it. That's the utility of the lists. So I don't mind them, as long as the player realizes that the lists are less important than the reads.
