Default Stack off with QQ here?

Villain is 36/16/2.8 over 49 hands. These spots with overpairs on the turn have been giving me some trouble lately. This line is a common nut line for villains to take at this level and never a total bluff. He might do this with worse pairs or a draw though I guess.

    Can I fold here?

    No-Limit Hold'em, $0.20 BB (6 handed) - Hold'em Manager Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

    CO ($19.74)

    MP ($14.99)

Preflop: Hero is SB with Q, Q
4 folds, Hero bets $0.70, BB calls $0.60

only if he would raise diamonds here or a gutshot + overcards combination

what do you think he has here, JJ? he'd 3b pf since it's BvB
he doesn't seem like a passive player

also re-evaluate one pair hands on the turn when faced with a raise

If, after the first twenty minutes, you don't know who the sucker at the table is, it's you.

Overpairs, flush draw and the occasional freak who calls your initial bet to blind defend with A5... I've seen it all but I guess without more info on villian, what could he do this with? I'm thinking high overpairs, flush draw... TBH, I'm probably shoving this/calling shove on this.

Ok, I want to clarify a few things on this post before it gets ripped...

this was an off-the-cuff response... no real math behind it. To be fair to the veterans here, beyond the stats, what reads do you have on the player? What is your table image? Have you seen him take this line before? What part of his range are you ahead of, what are you behind? etc...

That's a hefty turn raise and it appears that he means business. Sure he could be on a draw or he could figure you for a draw. However, a smarter player might put you on an overpair or AK with the way you're betting. It's very likely he could have something like 99-JJ if he's really putting you on AK. I don't think folding here is that weak, especially if you're stumped. You've shown aggression, OOP at that, and it didn't seem to scare him.

i disagree with you saying that this line ALWAYS means business at these limits. i play the same limits and i get player call preflop raise/call cbet/ raise on the turn on bluffs pretty often, that's probably because i establish a loose table image at most of the tables i play.
that being said i'm folding lol. it's really tough to put a player on a bluff OOP and you're probably better off taking the safe route if you're stumped (i know that my biggest leak is making a silly read that a player in late position is just jerkin my chain)

Funny you post this, just had this overpair hand earlier today, was wondering what villain was shoving with but I had to call...

    PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.02 BB (7 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

    UTG ($5.22)
    MP1 ($2.20)
    MP2 ($2)
    CO ($2.60)
    Button ($1.51)
    SB ($0.81)
    Hero (BB) ($2.75)

Preflop: Hero is BB with K, K
1 fold, MP1 calls $0.02, 2 folds, Button calls $0.02, SB bets $0.05, Hero raises to $0.18, 1 fold, Button calls $0.16, SB calls $0.13

    Flop: ($0.56) 3, J, 4 (3 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $0.46, Button raises to $0.92, 1 fold, Hero raises to $1.38, Button calls $0.41 (All-In)

    Turn: ($3.22) 2 (2 players, 1 all-in)

    River: ($3.22) 6 (2 players, 1 all-in)

Turned up A5 Clubs, while a questionable call (at best), totally reasonable shove

I think this is a fold here. You're not getting the right odds to call this huge raise imo.

It's not such a huge raise when you look at my stack. I was 6 tabling and didn't have time to reload. I hate when 5 big hands happen at once

it looks like a pot-sized raise anyways

    idk, flip a coin prolly

Nah I have mini max a sort of skin program so I just double click to re-buy since the site doesn't support auto. Was swamped with 4 big pots so this was the worst time for a hand like this.

I called out of not wanting to time down and he had A5 for the straight.
