Default sometimes it pays immediately to change it up

i would normally re-raise this... but i decided if i hit the flop i was gonna check raise. then i accidentally crushed the flop. and once he called i figured he had a good Ace... AQ, AJ, maybe AT.

hope this doesn't sound to results oriented.

I think your op was destined to get stacked on this hand.

Is he normally over agressive, or does he figure you for a LAG?

    Nice play, BTW.

    Waiting in the shadows ...
    Pre-flop is fine.
    Flop is fine.
Bet at least $5 on the turn, if not just pushing.

    Don't post results

true... AK vs AQ is a cooler.

the way i played it worked out this time but i agree its not the most +EV, "standard", way to play it.

this guys stats looked like he was a solid player. he probably had me on a weaker Ace or maybe even a complete bluff cuz he just insta shoved the river.
guys he's just looking to complain about taking coolers/beats

he'll continue to be the type of poker player we all love, the one that isn't any good but thinks he is, and slowly donates to the regulars.
