Some spew with Aces

    Default Some spew with Aces

This hand was played pretty badly by me imo.

BTN was 71/46 over 45 hands, seemed slightly tilted after losing a few pots.
    -raise 54 on KK4dd big
-just call 76 on 952hh, pot jam river when he hit vs me. Saw me call with AA.
    -no cbet AQ J76cc
-3bet A8o SB vs BTN, one then done J42hh

Other guy was 38/15 over 20 hands and looking like a possible fish.

So even though they are both loose and maybe aggro getting it in 3 way doesn't seem great after the BB cold calls the raise, so just fold here since this board is good for their ranges and stove doesn't say my equity is good.

    PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.05 BB (6 handed) - PokerStars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

    Hero (MP) ($5)
    CO ($6.55)
    Button ($17.09)
    SB ($8.06)
    BB ($5)
    UTG ($5)

Preflop: Hero is MP with A, A
1 fold, Hero bets $0.20, 1 fold, Button calls $0.20, SB calls $0.18, BB calls $0.15

    Flop: ($0.80) 3, 4, 6 (4 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets $0.65, Button raises to $2, 1 fold, BB calls $2, Hero raises to $4.80 (All-In),

Not sure I'm folding, BU has plenty of smaller overpairs in his range, and cold caller is drawing on spades a lot of the time. We must be better than 33% equity, we're getting a great price to stack off imo. Will mash some ranges into stove in a while, see if I change my tune.

not folding vs these aggrofish, but I'm not particularly happy about it...these boards are just so f'n bad for strong overpairs.

Hand played fine imo, these ranges are fuuuucking wide but you say BU is tilted and BB likes to see flops. Maybe we can give BB just pairs, that only hands equity over to BU, our equity remains 49%.

    Stacking off is fine.

I like how you have AsXs in your range even though we hold As. ...I wonder if pokerstove is smart enough to eliminates those hands from its calcs...

Haha I was so careful to not include the spades on the board, I neglected to consider our cards!

Was a tough range to put in, unclicking all the other suited combos and all, plus I was smoking a spliff. I'm excused.

soaking up ethanol, moving on up
    pre-flop is fine
flop vs players as described and only 100bb deep = getting it in is best

I have to disagree because Hero has a 71vpip and a 38 vpip left to act and has AA. If there's ever a time to raise more than the standard 4x preflop this is it.

That's what I was thinking after the hand, but I stoved it today and vs these 2 guys I should always have 40% which is ok.

    Thanks for the replies people.

Hows it bad for overpairs? I wouldve though overpairs are great vs aggro people stacking off with so many draws out there.
