SNG's

So I've seen the term SNG several times. I believe that it refers to Sit n' Go. But would someone help me with a more elaborate description?

I've seen single table tournaments on PP (still just playing in the free area for now). Are these what you are talking about? or does SnG refer to any walk-up table game?

Yes, generally 3 tables or less...
