I have heard that Partypoker is a bunch of fish that suck. I have heard that Pokerstars is a bunch of rock who camp.
Why the hell would there be this difference between the two sites?

I personally dont find Stars 6 max ring that bad. But i've only played Paradise, Empire (after split) and Stars so perhaps I don't know the meaning of fishtank.

There ARE differences. I think the differences can be attributed to the teaching effect. I first noticed this with chess but one could insert poker the same way. Ever notice that you cannot improve your chess game if you only play someone that is worse than you? Improvement in something needs a stress to push it along. The stress is typically supplied by losing on a regular basis (by playing someone better than you or at least as good as you). As you become better, so does your opponent since you are both pushing each other to be better. |

I dunno why you'd wanna play at either of these rooms, there's way fishier places out there.

I think Party is so fishy because they only allow the beginners to play the 5NL and 10NL for so long. Then they are forced to play NL 25. They are basically throwing fish to the sharks there.

Party ($5 and $10) SNGs are FAR fishier than any other site I've played, without a doubt. Though the small stacks and blind structure certainly contribute to this. |
