I wonder if the button learnt his lesson about letting people limp/check in when he has decent cards. He went from having a significant advantage, to facing down two full houses from people who would (should) have folded to any raise.

Players like this who let you outflop them for free or cheap and only get their money in when they are behind are delightful to play against!

A few hands later he got AK again, this time he raised 2xBB, so he's slowly learning. Then he ruined it (for him, not the guy he was against) by calling to the river, and showing down with high card Ace.

haha that looks like fun. 1 point in the Q3s hand I wouldn't check that flop. You have top and bottom pair but there's a flush draw and 5 opps in the hand... Play it fast.

At this level, when you are strong you need to overbet (or at least pot it) to get more money in the middle, they'll still pay you off.

Good point on Q3 one.

As for the overbet, tough call. A lot of times in these levels people do still fold to strong betting. That said I would like to get more money in the pot when I'm well up, so its worth experimenting with a bit more.


Last night was by far my most successful night playing, and I reckon about half my profits came from hands I checked in at BB.
