I decided that a shove was just as good as a $2.50-$3 bet on the river. Hands like A9, Kx and < 77 he would most likely fold as his image is so tight and obviously has knowledge of what could beat his hand.

He would've reraised me with AK+ or anything remotely stronger. So it was either he had me absoloutley smashed, or I could bet him off the hand.

EDIT: Given then fact he also bet so small on the flop and turn, indicated to me his hand was very weak.
